British weather boosts bookings to Greece

The British weather has helped boost an otherwise weak year for Greece, with a last minute rush to book hotels and packages for tourists to lap up the sun and sea in the southern Mediterranean. London Greek News conducted a phone survey of all the capital's leading tour operators asking them if they had seen a rise in bookings in the last 21 days. Mario Demetriou MD at Euromed travel said "I have seen a positive move up in bookings; people wanting to book anywhere hot especially Greece".
